The underground hospitals in the channel
islands are fascinating places to visit.
There are two underground hospitals that I
know of in the channels islands, there is the very famous
one on the island of Jersey and this one on the island of
Guernsey which is little known, but larger and in a more
original state than the 'famous' one.
Apparently they can only open the Guernsey hospital to the
public in the dryer months because it has a tendency to
flood!
Both Jersey and Guernsey are covered with
interesting bunkers and structures built during the German
occupation of the islands during world war 2.
